Here at Saratoga Springs Public Library, we are looking for teenagers who are interested in serving their community while working towards building a thriving teen presence at our library! We offer four volunteer sessions throughout the year: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. We accept approximately 20-25 teen volunteers during each of these sessions. Volunteers must be in grades 7-12.
Jobs that teens will assist with range from helping our Youth Librarians with children's programs, preparing craft projects, creating displays, and other tasks that will improve library services to teens.
Information meetings will be held before the start of each session and the available volunteer opportunities will be provided. Teens must be registered for the meeting, which can be located on the library's event calendar under teen programs.
That's okay! We offer rolling admission to our volunteer program. Fill out our Teen Volunteer Application and submit it in person at the Children's Desk on the lower floor of the library or via email to sar-teen@sals.edu. You will be contacted about whether there are any current teen volunteer opportunities available.
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete this form and submit it. Applications that are not fully completed will not be considered.
