Teen Services: Volunteering & Service

Your guide to all things teen at Saratoga Springs Public Library

Our teen volunteers are passionate about giving back and helping grow an awesome teen community at the library!

Volunteer sessions run in the Summer, Fall, and Winter, with 20–25 teens accepted each round.

Volunteers must be in grades 7-12.

Teen volunteers help our Youth Librarians with kids' programs, prep crafts, create displays, and take on other tasks to support the library.

Each session kicks off with an info meeting— volunteer shifts are shared and open for sign-up at the end of the meeting.

Teens must register for the info meeting through the library’s event calendar under Teen Programs.

Apply anytime! Just remember—volunteer spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fill out the Teen Volunteer Application and drop it off at the Children’s Desk (lower level) or email it to sar-teen@sals.edu. Teen Librarian AnnaRae will reach out about any available volunteer opportunities!

What We Are: A community service opportunity where teens share ideas, make their voices heard, and help shape the library’s Teen Services.
