Summer Reading 2025 for Kids and Teens: Home

Color Our World: Embark on a journey of art and creativity, and celebrate the ways in which art enriches our lives!

Registration opens on June 23rd.

You have until August 30th to read and log.

Anything you want! Books, magazines, graphic novels- even audio books count.

Absolutely! All reading counts. If you read to someone or they read to you. You can even read to your goldfish if you want. If a family shares a book together, then all of the children in the family get to log the minutes.

FOR ALL REGISTRANTS: When you register for summer reading your first prize is a free book! If you register online, make sure to stop in to the library to pick up your book.

FOR KIDS: For every 300 minutes of reading you log, kids can stop in to pick up a prize from our treasure chest. The chest has a variety of cool things to choose from. We even have coupons for special things donated from local businesses like Stewart's and the Friends of Saratoga Springs Public Library.

If kids complete 1800 minutes this summer, they get a special library t-shirt!

FOR TEENS: Teens will log their reading on a bingo square. There are a variety of gift cards to choose from and teens can complete up to 2 bingos!  To earn their first gift card, teens must complete one bingo line. To earn a second, they must complete the entire bingo square!

KIDS: This year, the library is going to get some very special items to use or loan if we can read enough.

If kids can log 325,000 minutes, the library will get new games for the gaming lounge in the Children's Room.

If kids can log at 625,000 minutes the library will get a new fancy microscope!

TEENS: Since teens are playing bingo, we will be tracking how many books they log.

If teens log 750 books we will get a VR headset for the teen room!
