New revision for New York State Equivalency Diploma replacing GED and TASC

WSWHE BOCES High School Equivalency program
can help you prepare for the Test Assessing Secondary Completion - TASC™ test. This is the new high school equivalency test that replaces the GED.

Prepares academically and economically disadvantaged residents in the Capital District, ages 16 and over, for further educational, training, and employment opportunities.

ETA offers a variety of adult classes at various times of day all year long. Some course categories offered include: business, commercial driving, culinary, health related programs and skilled trades. The classes can last from 3 hours to up to 7 months and range in cost from approximately $75 to $5,000.

The pathway options recognize students’ interests in the Arts, Career and Technical Education (CTE), Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS), Civics, Humanities, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and World Languages by allowing an approved pathway to satisfy students’ graduation requirements.
