What IS Dropbox? According to Dropbox, Dropbox is a cloud storage/computing area, or platform, as described below.
“Dropbox is a global collaboration platform where files, folders, and docs are created, accessed, and shared. With more than 500 million registered users across 180 countries, we’re on a mission to unleash the world’s creative energy by designing a more enlightened way of working. Dropbox is available online at dropbox.com and for Windows, Mac, or Linux computers, as well as Android and iOS phones and tablets.”
Users should know that Dropbox offers a free trial, and one free basic plan, otherwise users must pick whichever Dropbox plan best fits their needs and pay for any plan that is not basic. The basic starting Dropbox level is free, and you get 2 gb of free storage space. You can earn extra storage space, and you can upgrade your account to a paid one, or a business one, where you can buy more storage. Plans start at $99 per year for 1 tb of storage.
