1. Cut the plain cardstock into two 2½" x 8" strips. Print and use the template sheet to trace onto the cardstock if desired.
2. Use a large hole punch or cut out geometric shapes from the vertical center line area of one of the cardstock strips to create "frames" (see template for an example; this is what was used for the sample in the photo).
3. Place the decorative paper behind one frame at a time so that the desired image or design is centered behind the hole. Cut the piece of decorative paper so that it is slightly larger than the frame. Repeat for each frame hole.
4. Put glue around the back edge of one frame at a time with the cardstock front side down. Place the corresponding decorative paper face down behind the frame. Reposition the pictures as necessary to get the placement you want before the glue dries. Repeat for each frame.
5. Align and glue the solid cardstock piece to the back of the completed frame piece.
6. Use a small hole punch or scissors to add a hole to the top of the bookmark.
7. Tie a piece of raffia, yarn, or ribbon to the top of the bookmark to finish.
